What a choice! There are some great contenders this year. Here's hoping the voting public recognise talent rather than gloss.
For a start, any of the Girls 14-24 could win! The first Live Show was an excellent showcase of their fantastic talents.
Alexandra Burke has been through the mill before, only just missing out on the finals. Louis acknowledges he made a mistake 2 years ago. Alexandra has a great voice and sang very well on the first live show. A bit diva warble (affectation) in her vocals at times, but hey, no great problem. Especially on Whitney's Wanna Dance With Somebody.
Diana Vickers has a quite awesome voice, her husky phrasing and great range is so full of passion and character. If her voice could be described in terms of colour, it would be a vibrant rainbow. And Diana's interpretation of With Or Without You was thrilling and unique.
And just to stretch quirky talent even further, along comes Laura White, also with great range and colourful phrasing. Laura's version of Falling was quite superb, and definitely makes choosing between the three girls rather difficult.
