We have often mentioned our distaste for most of the metrosexual males being paraded by the main labels as the best in music today. They are clearly not, as the fan charts and social media year-end reviews exclude them.
The final mention in the EW list is Kid Cudi and Man on the Moon: The End of Day. The comments for this selection are most barbed: “Kid Cudi is another example of why rap is dying. He is a below average rapper with amazing beats and hooks, so people hear the beats and don't care what he says. But the fact is he cannot rap well.” We agree wholeheartedly. Our rating: 1 Star
Maybe the return of Eminem to recording will cause the shake-up so needed in the male music-making department. With over 80 million album sales worldwide, Eminem was the man and his new releases may raise the game for everyone.

Alexandra Burke has the record for the fastest-selling download across Europe on its first day of release. Hallelujah sold more than 105,000 which beat the previous fastest download of 82,000 in one day — A Moment Like This by Leona Lewis from 2006. By comparison, Take That sold less than 10,000 downloads of Greatest Day on its first day.
